Our Story
Renewed Living Homes was founded in 2018 by two longtime friends who saw the same gap from different sides.
Aaron Knight was mentoring young people and kept meeting their parents — parents who were exhausted, aging, and quietly terrified about who would care for their child once they no longer could. Leneir Grandison knew residential care from the inside and knew how much of it settled for the minimum.
They built Renewed Living Homes to be the answer they would have wanted for their own families.
Today we provide licensed residential support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Virginia. Our homes are single-level and fully accessible, so no one loses access to their own house as their needs change. A registered nurse oversees health and medications. Residents cook, shop, work, and run their households to whatever degree they are able and interested — because participation builds skills that service never will. Licensed barber and cosmetology services come to the home, because looking like yourself is part of dignity.
Families are not visitors here. They remain part of the person's life, and we would not have it any other way.
