Where Dignity
Meets Compassion

Our Mission

To provide safe, dignified, person-centered residential care that honors the individuality of every adult with intellectual disabilities we serve — empowering each person to live a full, meaningful, and connected life.

Our mission is to be the kind of residential provider that families trust completely — because they know their loved one is not just being cared for, but truly seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are.

Our Vision

A community where every adult with intellectual disabilities has access to high-quality residential care that is grounded in dignity, driven by individual choice, and rooted in genuine human connection.

We envision a future where the standard for residential ID/DD care is radically person-centered — where every individual lives in a setting that reflects their personality, honors their history, supports their goals, and surrounds them with people who genuinely love their presence. Renewed Living Homes is committed to being a model for that future.

Our Goals

  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, clinical care, and personal dignity across all Renewed Living Homes residential settings.

  • Implement fully individualized support plans for every resident, developed through authentic partnership with the individual, their family, and their support team.

  • Recruit, train, and retain skilled, compassionate Direct Support Professionals who are committed to person-centered values and continuous professional growth.

  • Ensure full compliance with Virginia DBHDS licensure requirements, Medicaid DD waiver standards, and all applicable federal and state regulations.

  • Support residents in building meaningful community connections — through employment, volunteering, recreation, faith participation, and social relationships that extend beyond the walls of our homes.

  • Partner with families, support coordinators, and the broader ID/DD service community to ensure seamless, well-coordinated care for every individual we serve.

  • Promote the principles of self-determination — ensuring that residents have real choices about their daily lives, their goals, and the people who support them.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve our care practices, using resident and family feedback, quality assurance data, and emerging best practices in ID/DD residential services.
